5. Dachshunds
Most of the people will think that Dachshunds is one of the cutest dogs based on their appearance but the real fact is they are really aggressive and basically they are hunting dogs. Since this dog is used for hunting in vintage days, Dachshunds will not have fear on humans and animals too.
In the 17th century this breed of dogs originated in Germany basically to hunt badgers and other small animals. This breed of dogs can be easily trained and use it for hunting.
The size of these dogs may be small but they will not give up in fights with other small mammals until death. If you are looking for a dog with a cute appearance but that can actually guard you too then Dachshund is the perfect choice.
4. Chow Chow
Chow chow is a medium sized dog which can weigh between 45 to 70 pounds. The origin of this dog is actually unknown but most people believe that this dog originated in China or Mongolia. This dog will have a bulky look because of its bushy hair and thick skin coat.

3. Rottweiler
Rottweiler is a large sized dog which can weigh from 85 to 130 pounds. This is a short and straight haired dog with black and rust color. This dog originated in a small town called Rottweil in Germany.
Rottweiler dogs are used for cattle herding and bear hunting in the starting days. This dog has a big head and very strong jaws. If Rottweiler locked their bite with locked jaws then its tough for three fully grown humans to release the lock by force. Also this dog breed is not recommended for Apartments.
Rottweiler are highly recommended for farms and cattle’s because of their energy, size and force. Mostly families with children should avoid this dog but that is according to the character of the person who is handling this dog.
